Editor, Digital Studio – 12 month FTC

About the Role

The Digital Studio is a creator-first unit within Sony Pictures Television, producing original YouTube series, creator partnerships, podcasts, and branded content built for digital audiences. Day to day, you are taking projects from rushes through to finished edits, working to agreed creative briefs and delivery schedules alongside a Creative Director, Head of Production, Senior Editor, and Channel Manager. The post-production workflow here spans both long-form digital series and fast-turnaround social cuts, so you will need to shift between editorial modes without losing quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit long-form YouTube series and short-form social content to a high creative and technical standard, applying strong pacing, music, and visual instincts suited to each platform.
• Create platform-native edits optimised for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snap, adapting the same footage and story for different audience behaviours and aspect ratios.
• Own assigned edits across the full post-production workflow, from ingesting and organising rushes through to final delivery at agreed technical specifications.
• Work with the Channel Manager to ensure YouTube content aligns with platform best practices and audience retention data.
• Maintain clean project file management across live edits, including version control, media organisation, and archiving in line with the Digital Studio’s agreed naming conventions.
• Apply live editing experience to real-time content production when required, identifying and resolving creative or technical challenges before they affect delivery.

What You Bring

• Professional proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a demonstrable track record editing digital content independently from rushes to final output.
• Credits across digital-first formats, including YouTube series, branded content, or social video production.
• A working understanding of what drives engagement across social platforms, applied directly to editorial decisions around pacing, structure, and format.
• Experience working within structured post-production workflows, including version management and delivery to technical specifications.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the contract, with appropriate immigration permission in place.
