It suits a theater or audio engineering student who already has hands-on exposure to sound systems and wants to work inside a professional live entertainment production workflow.

About the Role

The Audio System Design Team handles the full development pipeline for audio systems that serve live entertainment productions, from early design intent through installation and delivery. • Draft audio drawings and system layouts using AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Q-Sys Designer, SMAART, and speaker prediction software.
  • Assist audio system designers with technical and creative research during active project development phases.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional production teams, including safety, facilities, and design departments, to support project delivery schedules.
  • Help manage prioritization and problem-solving during the installation phase of multiple overlapping live entertainment projects.
  • Attend Disney Live Entertainment internal seminars and production meetings as a contributing team member.

What You Bring

  • Working knowledge of audio technology, equipment, and live sound production environments.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Q-Sys Designer, or SMAART at any level of proficiency.
  • Solid general computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization and availability for a full 40-hour week, Sunday through Saturday, for the entire internship period.

Why This Role
