About the Role

The Disney Kids & Family Live Action Original Series Intern, Spring 2027 joins a close-knit development team that oversees original series geared toward kids, teens, and families across both streaming and linear platforms. Day-to-day work includes tracking active projects through multiple stages of scripted development, sitting in on creative and production meetings, and supporting the executives who make programming decisions. The internship runs full-time, approximately January 2027 through June 2027, reporting directly to the Manager of Live-Action Series Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Read incoming scripts and pitch materials and provide written coverage and notes to the development team.
• Maintain and update tracking grids in Airtable that log the status of projects across the episodic television development slate.
• Compile and distribute weekly development reports to keep executives current on project movement.
• Take detailed notes during team meetings and individual project calls, then turn those notes around quickly for the team record.
• Cut dailies as needed to support production workflow on active series.
• Build presentation decks and mock-up graphics in Canva or related tools for internal and external use.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with senior standing preferred, pursuing a degree in film, television, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Airtable, with Canva experience also required.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign is a plus for the design components of the role.
• Strong reading habits and the ability to assess scripted material critically, even at an early career stage.
• Prior administrative experience in a television or film production environment is helpful but not required.
