About the Role

The Director, Remote Productions reports to the Coordinating Director of Live Remote Productions and works across TNT Sports properties, covering marquee sporting events throughout the broadcast calendar. Day-to-day, this means collaborating with Producers before airtime to build production plans covering camera placement, show flow, graphics, and replay priorities, then executing those plans live under broadcast conditions. The role also involves MFP remote integration workflows and IP-based production environments, which are increasingly central to how Warner Bros. Discovery approaches live event television.

Key Responsibilities

• Call all camera cuts, replay sequences, graphics stings, and transitions from the production truck during live and near-live remote sports broadcasts on TNT Sports.
• Direct NHL, MLB, and NCAA telecasts to a consistent broadcast standard, maintaining the visual language and brand identity expected of a major network sports property.
• Develop pre-game production plans in partnership with the Producer, covering shot lists, music cues, graphics packages, and EVS replay priorities.
• Coach Associate Directors and Broadcast Associates in real time, providing feedback that sharpens crew performance across the full production run.
• Champion MFP production workflows and next-generation replay platforms as the department continues to expand remote integration across its live sports output.
• Coordinate across engineering, audio, graphics, and league media relations departments to ensure all broadcast rights requirements and credentialing protocols are met on each event.

What You Bring

• Minimum five years of directing experience in remote live sports production at a regional network level or above.
• Hands-on directing credits across NCAA basketball, NHL, MLB, or NASCAR telecasts, with experience across multiple TNT Sports properties preferred.
• Working knowledge of multi-camera production, EVS replay systems, broadcast graphics platforms, and production switchers in full large-scale truck environments.
• Familiarity with MFP and IP-based production workflows used in modern remote integration broadcasting.
• Ability to read and execute complex computer-based rundown formats under live broadcast conditions without losing composure or tempo.
