Disney is hiring a Director of Publicity (PR) based in Buenos Aires, Argentina to lead regional communications across Latin America. This role sits at the intersection of streaming, studio releases, and live entertainment, responsible for building and executing publicity campaigns for Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer and Studios portfolio across every Latin American market. It’s a senior leadership position built for a communications professional who has managed multi-market press strategy for major entertainment properties and knows how to translate a global campaign into something that actually lands locally.

About the Role

The Director of Publicity (PR) operates within Disney’s broader marketing and communications structure, working across streaming title launches, franchise properties, kids and family content, and original Latin American productions. Day to day, this means setting campaign direction for episodic television and film releases, managing regional press relationships, and serving as the primary liaison between Latin American markets and the global publicity team in Burbank. The role carries full ownership of regional publicity budgets and the teams that execute against them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the regional publicity strategy for streaming and studio properties across Latin America, aligned with both global objectives and local market priorities.
  • Oversee publicity campaign implementation at a senior governance level across all Latin American markets, maintaining brand consistency and quality standards across every execution.
  • Lead press strategy for streaming platform launches and sustained title promotion following release, with a digital-first media approach.
  • Identify and manage pan-regional press opportunities and organic influencer campaigns tied to original productions, franchises, and key IP.
  • Anticipate and manage reputational contingencies related to content, talent, or initiatives at a regional level, working alongside the Corporate Communications team.
  • Build and develop the regional publicity organization through hiring, performance management, coaching, and succession planning.

What You Bring

  • 12 or more years in publicity, communications, entertainment marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Significant prior experience leading regional or multi-market publicity operations, preferably within the entertainment industry.
  • A track record managing press strategy for streaming content or studio theatrical releases across diverse markets.
  • Fluency in Spanish is expected given the regional scope; Portuguese is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sizable publicity budgets with a focus on measurable outcomes.

Why This Role

Disney’s Latin American content slate includes original productions developed specifically for the region, giving this Director of Publicity (PR) real material to work with beyond just adapting global campaigns. The role reports into a global structure with genuine regional authority, which is a meaningful distinction from coordinator-level regional posts. For a communications leader with roots in entertainment, this is a position with visibility across the full production and distribution chain.

Apply now for the Director of Publicity (PR) role at Disney and bring your regional communications experience to one of the largest entertainment companies operating in Latin America.
