Digital Media Designer – Motion & VFX

Located at our central offices in Milton Keynes, the Digital Media Designer is responsible for the creation of the visual media required. 

They are to work closely with the creative arm of the group and other team members to help to create and enhance the entertainment offering. This role will help bring new technologies and innovation to the business. 

Our Digital Media Designers work on a variety of exciting projects including theatre show visuals, logo and content design and are a key part of the creative output here at ted. 

Key Tasks

 • Part of the digital media team at ted responsible for creating spectacular Digital Media output for our clients. This includes simple animation, graphic design and motion graphics and VFX. 

 • Work closely with production team members to complete the brief assigned for projects such as theatre shows, immersive experiences, gameshows and interactive entertainment. 

Work closely with third parties freelance designers to ensure TED ted standards 

Ensuring the highest quality of all visual digital media products. and abiding by client style guides. 

Make sure our strict file management system is implemented and keep the groups digital media is stored correctly. 

Keep detailed and up to date diaries relevant to projects and report to the head of department on a regular basis. 

Project and stakeholder management. Ensuring projects are kept to time and delivered to the desired standard. 

Support all of the company’s departments as one team to execute the companies vision and client briefs. 

Research and work on new techniques to further animation, VFX and video output to embrace new developments across with entertainment industry. Research and work on new technologies. 

Improve ways of working with new software and be the subject matter expert in emerging technologies. 

Run the project from initial brief through to delivery and post event analysis.

Excellent interpersonal skills 

Skilled in Photoshop, IndesignInDesign, Adobe media suite, Cinema 4D and other Animation software. 

 IT skills skills such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. or MAC proficient • Good verbal and written communication skills 

Digital Media/Animation/Media Production or similar BA/BSC Hons. 

Efficiency and excellent organiszational skills 

Experience in multi-tasking projects • GCSE in Math’s and English

Experience in creating Digital Media motion graphics or VFX is essential. 

A creative flair is a must for this role with the ability to communicate with team members to create a high- level entertainment product.

Experience in creating content for the entertainment industry, is highly desirable.
