We take products to social and influence the ‘now generation.’ Engage Hub is a digital-first, creative-led agency servicing a wide scope of clients, such as H&M, Gorillas, Staropramen, Mars, Nicky Clarke and Alpecin. Our team feels most at home when working with brands that embrace the unconventional and want to move quickly, with impact.
As part of our ambitious growth plans we have launched Engage Studio, a specialist digital-led creative team, focussed on delivering trend-leading, rule breaking, results driving creative content. Engage Studio offers a range of services, including, creative strategy, design and branding, AR, podcast, photography and video and film.
Video is the dominating medium of the moment (and the future!) that’s why we are looking for a creative videographer who can lead our movement into a motion-led world. We are looking for someone who is a strong brand storyteller who can execute both creatively and manually.
Role and responsibilities
- To manage a video project from idea conception, production to final edit and output.
- Shoot video of the highest quality for digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and wider creative team to drive video best-in-class content.
- Overseeing video post-production and editing to ensure quality control.
- Brainstorm and present creative ideas for client and agency videos, including, an ability to storyboard to a high standard.
- Ability to direct models, props, backdrops and manage set up (in-depth knowledge of lighting and sound, managing set up and breakdown).
- Preparing background film and B-roll.
- Highly knowledgeable in the process of editing and trend-led motion executions.
- Ability to adapt to the shoot environment and create a relaxed and in-control atmosphere on set.
- Actively seeking creative solutions and pushing the boundaries of video production.
- Stay up to date with digital and social content video trends.
- Develop Engage Hubs’ video style, while safeguarding the brand’s identity
- Liaise effectively and establish good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work and travel between Manchester and London offices as well as location
About you
- A minimum of 4 years professional experience in a similar role or freelance
- Attention to detail and the ability to wait for the perfect shot
- Proven experience of location and studio shoots with understanding of lighting and shoot set up.
- In-depth knowledge of best practice for social and digital
- Experience shooting high end product including beauty, fashion and food
- Demonstrable creative approach and innovation to both idea generation and problem solving
- Outstanding storytelling abilities, as applied to video
- Experience of adapting material for various purposes, platforms and audiences
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, performing to a brief, as well as a self-starter
- Ability to manage resources, including technical equipment and budgets, to deliver outcomes in a cost-effective manner
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues
- Good organisational skills: ability to prioritise tasks and plan ahead, as well as the flexibility to react positively to short notice changes and requirements
- Knowledge of current trends for video production at the content and technical level; a keen interest in staying ahead of the curve
- Desire to experiment and innovate
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years professional experience shooting and editing content
- High level of proficiency in Adobe CC: Premiere Pro, After Effects,
- Understanding of video, narrative and composition
- Working knowledge of lighting, colour and sound
Desirable skills:
- Any motion graphics, animation and editing experience
- Any 3D experience (Blender or Cinema 4D) is beneficial
