Job Type
FOX Sports is hiring a Creative Production Assistant based in Los Angeles, California. This role sits within the creative promotions department, supporting the production of on-air promo campaigns across FOX Sports properties including FS1, FS2, and the flagship FOX Network. It’s a strong entry point for someone who has come up through internships in broadcast or sports television and understands how a promo moves from brief to air.
About the Role
The Creative Production Assistant works directly alongside creative directors, producers, and project managers across pre-production, production, and post-production workflow for sports promotional content. On any given day, that means time split between the edit bays, shoot locations, and the office, keeping materials organized and the production pipeline moving. FOX Sports reaches over 100 million viewers in a single weekend, so the promo output this role supports carries real broadcast weight.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and track all project folders, notes, files, and footage assets across the full production cycle from pre-production through post.
- Label, screen, log, and dub melts, film transfers, and other footage materials as assigned by producers and creative directors.
- Research and pull images, clips, music, and archival footage needed to support promo production, then assemble clip reels for editorial review in the edit bay.
- Source props, wardrobe, and location materials for shoots, including courier runs when the project requires it.
- Download, import, and export project files to support the post-production workflow and delivery pipeline.
- Assist in writing and producing on-air promotional spots as opportunities arise on active projects.
What You Bring
- Internship or entry-level job experience in broadcast television, sports media, or a related promotional production environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with general internet research skills.
- Familiarity with PC and Mac platforms, QuickTime Pro, and Photoshop is a plus.
- Knowledge of production and tape formats is preferred but not required to apply.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines without losing composure, including occasional weekend or late-night availability on short notice.
Why This Role
FOX Sports has carried the most watched program in American television, NFL’s America’s Game of the Week on FOX, for fourteen consecutive years, which reflects the scale of promotional production this team supports. This Creative Production Assistant role pays $19.00 to $22.50 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union represented employees will follow the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
