At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode – pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Coordinator, VFX – Film will report to the Manager, VFX and support the Film VFX production management team across a variety of duties including data and systems maintenance, production operations, department-wide onboarding initiatives, and development project management. Day to day, the Manager, VFX will direct priorities and assign tasks — which may include supporting Senior Managers across the department as needed. This role sits at the intersection of production operations, data/systems maintenance, and project management, working closely with cross-functional teams within Netflix as well as external partners.

A successful candidate will be collaborative, reliable, detail-oriented, and technically curious. This is not a purely administrative role — the position requires someone who understands the data behind VFX production and is comfortable working inside the systems that house it. The ideal candidate finds satisfaction in clean, accurate work, takes pride in making other people’s jobs easier, and thrives in a collaborative relationship with clear direction and priorities. They are an effective communicator who can track internal development projects, maintain team accountability, and effectively showcase the department’s work and progress to stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain internal development systems and tool project trackers, ensuring data requirements are met and systems function effectively across departmental initiatives

  • Keep dashboards and reporting tools current as development projects progress; flag discrepancies and resolve data issues proactively

  • Work closely with the Manager, VFX to refine and improve departmental systems and workflows over time

  • Handle title management coordination tasks as assigned — cross-checking deliverables, managing NDA and script distribution, tracking credits, and maintaining Google Drive organization

  • Help design and execute onboarding workflows for the entire department — getting external production teams set up on Netflix systems, generating and distributing templates, and training external VFX crew on relevant tools and reporting workflows

  • Create, update, track and proactively maintain inward and outward-facing production resources, grids and documents

  • Frequently collaborate with and support efforts to create better alignment between cross-functional departments

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of VFX experience within a high volume studio, vendor, or client-side on productions.

  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the VFX production lifecycle, workflows, and terminology.

  • Strong presentation skills with experience creating compelling decks that communicate project status, team progress, and departmental achievements to stakeholders

  • Demonstrated tool, workflow, and systems management skills — including the ability to scope projects, assign tasks, track deliverables, and present outcomes clearly and effectively

  • Experience with production tracking tools such as Flow (aka Shotgrid), Filemaker, or similar platforms as a power user.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across vendors, external production teams, legal, finance, and creative stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with an unwavering attention to detail

  • Familiarity with database concepts and data organization principles is a plus.

  • Exposure to scripting or automation (Python, Google Apps Script, or similar) — even at a beginner level — is a plus.

  • A passion for emerging tools and workflows, including AI-assisted productivity, is strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Airtable, Cinesync, PIX, and Google Suite
