Job Position(s): Client Side Show Production Manager (DNEG VFX)
Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

DNEG is hiring a Client Side Show Production Manager to be based in London, United Kingdom. This role sits at the intersection of editorial, VFX, and production, responsible for building and maintaining shot schedules, tracking bids, and ensuring final deliveries land on time and within budget across high volume VFX productions. It suits an experienced production professional who has worked both client-side and vendor-side and understands how those two perspectives need to talk to each other.

About the Role

The Client Side Show Production Manager works closely with the VFX Producer and Supervisors, sitting inside the post-production workflow rather than above it. Day to day, that means managing shot tracking systems, coordinating review sessions, and keeping creative and production updates moving cleanly between editorial and VFX teams. This is a hands-on role on complex, effects-heavy productions where schedule pressure is constant and the margin for miscommunication is small.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex shot schedules that account for asset milestones, temp deliveries, and finals, keeping editorial, production, and VFX teams aligned throughout the post-production workflow.
  • Support the VFX Producer in monitoring costs and tracking bids across the production, flagging variances before they become problems.
  • Own the weekly status reports, collating updates from across departments into a clear picture of where the show stands.
  • Manage priorities and review materials, ensuring the right cuts and passes are in the right hands at the right time.
  • Supervise and mentor VFX Coordinators and other junior production staff, delegating tasks to keep workflow steady across the board.
  • Maintain shot tracking workflows in ShotGrid, ensuring data integrity across all sequences from turnover through final delivery.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience working both client-side and vendor-side within VFX or post-production environments, ideally across feature film production or large-scale episodic television.
  • Strong working knowledge of ShotGrid, previously known as Shotgun, used daily for shot tracking and production management.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office for budgeting, bid tracking, and reporting.
  • A genuine understanding of VFX pipeline and editorial workflows, not just production administration.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across creative, technical, and executive contacts.
  • Availability to work onsite at the London office up to five days per week.

Why This Role

DNEG is one of the most consistently credited VFX companies working in feature film and television today, with a track record that spans major tentpole productions across multiple decades. The Client Side Show Production Manager role places you at the center of that pipeline, with direct influence over how a show gets made from VFX turnover to final delivery. For a production professional looking to deepen their experience on high-profile, effects-heavy projects, this is a substantive position with real scope.
