Cinematographer – Sports & Event Production (Freelance)

Milano–Cortina 2026 Olympic & Paralympic Games

ORBIS Production is an international, multi-award-winning full-service film, photo, and video production company working with global brands, agencies, and creative partners across Italy and Europe.

We are seeking experienced cinematographers to collaborate with us during the Milano–Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, supporting high-end sports, event, and branded content productions.

This role is intended for confident, autonomous professionals with a strong background in sports events and large-scale live productions, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

The RoleThis is a project-based, time-limited collaboration specifically for the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Strong performance during the Games may lead to consideration for longer-term or staff-based collaboration with ORBIS Production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate professional cinema cameras during sports competitions and large-scale live events
  • Capture action, atmosphere, and storytelling moments under tight schedules
  • Work efficiently within multi-camera and complex production environments
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, camera teams, and live crews
  • Maintain high technical and creative standards on set
  • Adapt quickly to changing schedules, locations, and production needs

Required Experience

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a Cinematographer / Camera Operator
  • Proven experience working on sports events or major international live events
  • Strong understanding of action-driven camera work and visual storytelling
  • Ability to operate independently and make fast, informed decisions on set
  • Fluent English is mandatory (professional working level)

Working Setup

  • Freelance, project-based engagement
  • On-location work across Milano–Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic venues
  • Full availability during the Games period is required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Olympic, Paralympic, World Cup, or comparable international events
  • Experience in broadcast or hybrid productions
  • Additional languages (Italian, German, French, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, Korean or others)
  • Valid driving license

Compensation

Competitive, project-based, and commensurate with experience.
