The work can be both studio-based and on location, often requiring flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate cameras, ensuring each shot meets creative and technical standards.
  • Work closely with directors and lighting technicians to maintain visual continuity.
  • Capture live broadcasts, documentaries, feature films, advertisements, news programmes, and other content both studio‑based and on location.
  • Operate cameras for live sports events, editing action shots and replays for television or online streaming.
  • Set up and operate lighting equipment, creating the desired mood and visibility for each shot.
  • Assist in editing and assembling recorded footage into finished products for film, television, or online platforms.
  • Oversee the visual look of a film or television production, managing camera and lighting teams to achieve the desired style.
