Role Description

IndieCrew is seeking a Boom Operator / Sound Mixer for an influencer-featured independent film. This contract role involves operating boom microphones and mixing audio to ensure high-quality sound during production. You will work closely with the film crew to capture clean, clear audio across a variety of scenes. This is an on-site role based in New York, NY, and candidates must be available to work on location during scheduled production hours.

Qualifications

• Experience and proficiency in boom operation and audio equipment handling.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a production team.
• Professional, cooperative attitude on set
• Attention to detail and technical knowledge to troubleshoot and enhance sound quality
• Familiarity with indie film production environments is a plus
• Ability to work long hours on location and adapt to varying on-set conditions
• Previous experience in sound mixing for films or related projects is preferred
