Zoic Studios is collecting expressions of interest for a Senior VFX Producer with Feature Experience based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role sits at the production management level, responsible for the full financial lifecycle of VFX projects spanning both feature film production and episodic television, from initial bid through final delivery. It suits a producer who has come up through a VFX vendor environment and knows how to hold a project together across client relationships, artist scheduling, and pipeline deliverables simultaneously.

About the Role

The Senior VFX Producer reports to the Heads of Production at Zoic Studios and operates across both film and TV slates, managing projects from script breakdown through shot delivery. Day to day, this means tracking shots in Shotgrid, actualizing budgets, coordinating with editorial and clients, and pushing work through the VFX pipeline on weekly delivery cycles. The role carries real financial accountability, not just scheduling oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall financial health of assigned projects, including detailed bidding built from scripts, storyboards, and client meetings.
• Break down methodology approvals into organized delivery calendars and maintain them as production evolves.
• Track VFX shot progress daily in Shotgrid, keeping status current across 2D and 3D workstreams.
• Communicate directly with clients, editorial, and internal department heads to move shots from work-in-progress to final on schedule.
• Manage individual artist assignments at a daily level, ensuring workloads align with both budget hours and delivery dates.
• Actualize budgets in real time, projecting hours and dollars out to completion throughout the post-production workflow.

What You Bring

• Prior experience working at a VFX vendor is required, with feature film production credits that demonstrate you can manage at scale.
• Hands-on experience budgeting visual effects and breaking down scripts and boards for complex sequences.
• Proven ability to manage both 3D and 2D artists across a structured production pipeline.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel is required; experience with Shotgun is a significant advantage.
• On-set experience and a background producing VFX for television clients are both considered strong assets.
