Key Responsibilities

• Executes routine editing assignments using non-linear editing software, working within established broadcast post-production workflows and naming conventions.
• Performs basic quality control checks on finished sequences, making standard corrective adjustments to meet ESPN’s audio and video compliance requirements.
• Edits content across daily and post-production formats, following SOPs and high-quality standards set by the Creative Studio team.
• Communicates directly with producers, editors, and production partners to confirm assignment scope and delivery expectations.
• Meets assigned deadlines across a production schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as broadcast needs require.
• Participates in structured training to deepen technical proficiency in NLE software and broadcast production workflows.

What You Bring

• Minimum two years of editing or directly related experience in a broadcast, sports media, or post-production environment.
• Working knowledge of at least one major NLE platform, Adobe Premiere, Avid, DaVinci Resolve, Edius, or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications including After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Basic understanding of broadcast video and audio quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, written and spoken, is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Studio Production, or Journalism is preferred, though a high school diploma or equivalent meets the minimum requirement.
