Hello aspiring filmmakers! Apply today for the main actress behind my Superman short film! This short film is a recreation of a scene from Superman (2025) between Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The scene takes place in Lois’ apartment as her and Clark conduct a mock interview before things go south fairly quickly. The script is available online, but I also have a copy of the specific scene that’ll be utilized in this recreation.

To clarify, this project is being run by a first-time filmmaker (19-years-old) trying to make a name for himself. As the main actor, this will be my first official time being on any set with a crew, actor, and other members of a film set. As such, my inexperience will be shared with anyone who applies. Whether you’re also a first-time filmmaker or someone who’s worked in the industry before, you’re all more than welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

As the main actress, you’ll work in tandem with the main actor, Jason Ramjas (myself), to make this scene come to life. Bringing the character of Lois Lane to life in this scene is the main priority of your role in this recreation. With the creative vision, skill, and technique you possess, this project can be brought to life in ways that are similar to the original film.

Here are some preliminary responsibilities outside of being the main actress on set that are expected from all applicants:

• Maintain a safe and work-friendly environment.
• Dedicate yourself to the material as much as possible.
• Be creatively intuned with the script and open to new ideas from the crew.
• Conduct yourself with respect towards the main crew and other set members.

Filming

The deadline for this application is June 20th. By that time, I will decide who the right person is for Lois by reaching out via email, LinkedIn, or a Zoom meeting depending on your applications.

I’d like principal photography to begin in July, with shooting happening on the weekends due to my summer schedule. If any change to schedule needs to happen, you will be notified ahead of time.

Due to the scene taking place in an apartment-style complex, we’ll need to find a location near the University of Central Florida for shooting to take place in. If you or anyone else knows somebody with an apartment complex available to film in, please reach out as soon as possible! Ensure that the location matches the original apartment from the film (doesn’t have to be 1-to-1, but similar enough).

Qualifications

This position is open to all talent that’s willing to dedicate themselves entirely to making this the best recreation it can be. The main way you’ll submit your application is via a self-tape (in a .mov or .mp4 file format) submitted to my email (ramjasjason06@gmail.com) under the subheading Superman Short: Self-Tape. The self-tape can be from any scene you’ve done/wanted to experiment with that best highlights your acting capabilities.

As a final note, this is a passion project that is simply being made from a desire to pursue filmmaking.
