Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

TelevisaUnivision is hiring a Camera Operator for its Las Vegas, NV station on a seasonal, part-time basis. This role sits within the broadcast television production workflow, where the Camera Operator captures live and studio content across news, sports, and entertainment programming for Univision and its affiliated networks. It is a strong fit for a camera professional with hands-on broadcast experience who is comfortable working across varied production formats under real deadline pressure.

About the Role

The Camera Operator works within the station’s production department, contributing to broadcast television output that feeds into TelevisaUnivision’s Spanish-language network programming. Day-to-day work includes operating studio and field cameras for live broadcasts, news segments, and event coverage, coordinating closely with directors and technical crews to execute shots as called. Given the seasonal nature of the position, availability across a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate studio and ENG cameras during live broadcast television productions, following director cues and shot sheets with precision.
  • Set up, balance, and frame camera shots for news, sports, and entertainment segments in both studio and field environments.
  • Adjust iris, focus, and white balance in real time to maintain consistent exposure and picture quality across a live broadcast feed.
  • Coordinate with the technical director and lighting crew to ensure camera positioning supports the overall production design.
  • Transport, rig, and strike camera equipment safely and efficiently between studio setups and remote broadcast locations.
  • Maintain assigned camera packages, flagging any equipment issues to engineering before they affect air.

What You Bring

  • Prior experience operating cameras in a broadcast television or live production environment.
  • Familiarity with studio camera systems, robotic cameras, or ENG rigs commonly used in local broadcast workflows.
  • Ability to follow a director’s program feed and respond accurately to interruptible foldback cues during live air.
  • Comfort working part-time and seasonal schedules tied to production demand, including live event coverage.
  • A working knowledge of Spanish-language broadcasting is a plus given the network’s primary audience.

Why This Role

TelevisaUnivision is the largest Spanish-language media company in the world, with a production slate spanning broadcast networks, 38 cable channels, and the ViX streaming platform, giving operators real exposure to a high-volume, multi-platform broadcast operation. Working at the Las Vegas station puts this Camera Operator inside a production environment that feeds national network programming, not just local filler content. For a camera professional looking to build broadcast television credits within a major media company, this is a substantive credit to add.

Apply now for the Camera Operator position with TelevisaUnivision and bring your broadcast camera skills to one of the largest Spanish-language television operations in the industry.
