Photographer/Videographer

About the Role

This is a contract-backed position tied to a government program, meaning the content pipeline is consistent and the production standards are specific. Day to day, you are shooting with contractor-furnished professional camera equipment, editing footage for reel-style delivery, and producing digital content that meets federal accessibility requirements. The work spans traditional photography and videography through to short-form social content captured on mobile and action camera devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-resolution photographs and video using contractor-furnished professional camera systems across a range of government content scenarios.
• Shoot, edit, and produce reel-type social media content using cell phone cameras and GoPro-style action cameras as part of a broader digital content workflow.
• Execute post-production work including editing, color correction, and formatting to deliver polished assets that drive user engagement with government stakeholders.
• Apply Section 508 compliance standards to all digital content to ensure accessibility across platforms used by federal programs.
• Monitor emerging trends in digital content production and social media platform regulations as they apply to government communications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations governing social media use to keep all content within approved guidelines.

What You Bring

• Minimum six years of experience working as a Photographer/Videographer in a professional production or institutional media context.
• Prior experience supporting a government contract, with a working understanding of the compliance and clearance environment that comes with it.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both traditional camera production and mobile content creation for social media distribution.
• Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards as they apply to digital media and online content.
• US Citizenship is required for this position.
