Nexstar is hiring a Creative Marketing Producer, VFX Editor/Compositor to join the promotional marketing team at NewsNation in Chicago, IL. This role sits inside the Creative Marketing department and is responsible for producing high-end image promos, sizzle reels, and network promotional content from concept through final delivery. It suits a post-production professional with a strong editorial eye who can move fluidly between writing, producing, and compositing within a broadcast television workflow.

About the Role

The Creative Marketing team at NewsNation produces on-air promotions, sales videos, and social content that drive ratings and network visibility. As a Creative Marketing Producer, VFX Editor/Compositor, you will own projects from scripting through finishing, with a particular emphasis on visual effects and compositing for high-end promos and sizzle packages. A typical day involves editing long-form image spots, building composite sequences, and stepping into a colorist role on other producers’ projects within a collaborative post-production workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, write, produce, and edit on-air promotional campaigns for NewsNation programming, working within assigned budgets and broadcast deadlines.
• Build VFX composites and motion graphics sequences for high-end image promos and sizzle reels to network broadcast standards.
• Serve as colorist and VFX compositor on projects assigned by the Creative Director outside your own producing slate.
• Plan and coordinate live-action production shoots, voiceover sessions, and music composition sessions required for promotional campaigns.
• Supervise and provide creative direction to graphic, print, and motion design artists executing assets within a campaign.
• Produce social promo cuts and sales videos adapted from primary campaign materials across multiple delivery formats.

What You Bring

• A minimum of five years in creative services within cable, broadcast, on-air promotion, boutique agency, or post-production environment.
• Demonstrated credits writing, producing, and directing on-air promotional content for a television network or broadcast station.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve as core tools in your post-production workflow.
• Hands-on compositing and color work within a collaborative post-production environment using industry-standard equipment and practices.
• Experience with AI platforms such as Adobe Firefly and Higgsfield.ai is a plus.
