Associate Producer, America Reports

FOX News Media is hiring an Associate Producer for America Reports, based in Washington, D.C. This role sits within the show’s editorial production team, with daily output centered on script writing, segment development, and live breaking news coverage for one of cable’s top-rated daytime news programs. It’s a strong fit for a television news producer who has sharp political instincts and is comfortable making real editorial calls under deadline pressure.

About the Role

• Pitch and develop original story ideas that align with the show’s daily editorial agenda and audience priorities.
• Monitor live events and breaking news coverage, flagging key developments and relaying updates to producers and anchors in real time.
• Write broadcast scripts that meet the pacing and tone requirements of live television news production.
• Research story angles, source video and elements, and cut material for on-air use across daily segments.
• Coordinate story development with the full show team, tracking multiple threads across a single broadcast day.
• Produce editorial content that holds up to the scrutiny of a national television news audience, including coverage of national politics and international affairs.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in television news production, with a working knowledge of live broadcast workflow.
• Strong editorial judgment across national and international news, with particular depth in political coverage.
• Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, and VIZ production systems is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent production experience is considered.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities during breaking news without losing output quality.
