Social Videographer – Digital, Insight and Performance
- Part Time
- Oxford, England, United Kingdom
University of Oxford
The University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School is hiring a Social Videographer for their Digital, Insight and Performance team, based in Oxford, England. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE, 18.25 hours per week) sitting within the Central Marketing and Communications department, responsible for producing social-first video content that spans faculty profiles, event coverage, student stories, and campaign assets across multiple platforms. It suits a video content creator who already knows how to shape a story for short-form digital distribution and can move comfortably between a shooting day and an edit suite.
About the Role
The Social Videographer works inside a small, collaborative marketing team at one of Europe’s prominent business schools, contributing to the school’s social media presence through original video production and multimedia content. Day-to-day work covers the full social video production workflow, from pre-production planning and location filming through to editing, subtitling, and platform-specific delivery. Output ranges from interview-led reels and audiograms to short-form graphics and imagery designed to perform across YouTube and social media video platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and deliver video content for faculty profiles, programme campaigns, alumni stories, and live events, managing each project across the full production lifecycle from brief to final export.
- Edit content using professional post-production software including Adobe Premiere Pro, cutting material to suit varying platform requirements and audience contexts.
- Produce short-form video, reels, audiograms, and graphics that translate the school’s research and community into content built for social media consumption.
- Storyboard and develop concepts in collaboration with designers and marketing colleagues, ensuring visual and editorial output holds to established brand standards.
- Monitor audience engagement data and contribute to performance reporting, using insight to inform future content decisions and improve social media video strategy.
- Support colleagues across the school in understanding social channels and emerging formats, acting as an internal resource for video production best practice.
What You Bring
- Proven professional video production credits, including end-to-end project ownership from concept through to delivery.
- Hands-on editing experience in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software.
- A demonstrated portfolio of short-form and social-first video content across multiple formats and lengths.
- Experience directing or filming contributors including academics, senior stakeholders, or interview subjects in professional settings.
- Practical understanding of how social media video platforms shape format, pacing, and technical specifications for content.
Why This Role
Saïd Business School carries the research profile and global audience reach of the University of Oxford, meaning content produced here lands with an international viewership rather than a local one. The role offers genuine variety across video production types, from documentary-style storytelling to event and campaign work, within a team that actively uses performance data to develop its output. Applications close Monday 19 October 2026 at 12:00 noon, and a portfolio or showreel of two to three examples of previous work is required alongside a CV and cover letter.
Apply now for the Social Videographer position at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and bring your social video production work to one of the most recognised institutions in the world.
