Production Specialist

About the Role

The Production Specialist reports to the Director of Entertainment at Walt Disney Attractions Japan, with a dotted-line relationship to the Producer overseeing day-to-day project deliverables. The work covers live show production for a new cruise ship property, requiring close coordination between Disney’s Florida-based Entertainment Specialists and Oriental Land Cruise Company stakeholders in Japan. A typical day involves managing project documentation, running production meetings, coordinating international travel logistics for creative teams, and keeping all partners aligned on schedules and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Disney and Oriental Land Cruise Company, managing communication, deliverables, and escalation of schedule or compliance issues throughout live entertainment production.
• Coordinate all aspects of complex international travel logistics for production teams, including air, ground, sea, hotel, and car rental bookings, while maintaining accurate records across shifting itineraries.
• Create and maintain production documentation including task lists, milestone trackers, decision logs, contact sheets, and project calendars across the full theatrical show life cycle.
• Prepare agendas, presentation materials, and meeting logistics for production team and OCC sessions, capturing concise notes and distributing action items promptly.
• Partner with Immigration Compliance to track documentation requirements and support timely submission for internationally traveling cast and crew members.
• Document rehearsals and live performances through photo and video capture for the show production team’s internal reference and project archive.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in live entertainment production coordination, theatrical show production, or a related production workflow environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-partner project documentation and communication across time zones and international locations.
• Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools used in live production environments.
• Experience coordinating international travel logistics for production teams, including familiarity with visa and immigration documentation processes.
• Japanese language proficiency or professional experience working with Japanese partners is a strong asset for this role.
