During play, the role demands the kind of shot instinct that only comes from time on live sports production floors.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture live hockey action throughout each game, including key plays, player movement, and in-game moments suitable for broadcast and videoboard display.
• Perform full camera checks before each event, covering white balance, iris, focus, gain, and wireless signal to confirm optimal image quality going into the live stream.
• Assist the production team with videoboard setup, equipment testing, and troubleshooting as part of the pre-show broadcast workflow.
• Execute smooth shot transitions during live play to maintain broadcast-quality coverage across game action, bench reactions, and crowd moments.
• Follow game scripts and production cues from the director while staying ready to react to unscripted in-game developments.
• Set up, maintain, and strike camera equipment before and after each event, ensuring gear is properly stored for the next production day.

What You Bring

• One to four years of experience in live sports production, broadcast videography, or livestreaming, with prior arena or stadium work preferred.
• Working knowledge of camera fundamentals including shutter speed, aperture, gain, audio levels, and wireless camera systems used in live broadcast environments.
• Ability to frame and compose shots of fast-moving subjects while maintaining production direction from a live broadcast crew.
• Basic familiarity with ice hockey rules and game flow to anticipate coverage needs without missing key moments.
• Availability for a variable schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and game days throughout the season.
