Job Position(s): Part-Time Digital Video Editor
Project Type: Short Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

The National Football League is hiring a Part-Time Digital Video Editor based in Inglewood, California. This role sits within NFL Media Group’s Original Content division, producing feature stories, YouTube shorts, and cross-platform video deliverables for the NFL’s digital and social channels. It’s a strong fit for an editor who has logged real hours in a digital post-production workflow and knows how to shape a story without a lot of hand-holding.

About the Role

The Part-Time Digital Video Editor works directly with the Original Content Group, cutting features and short-form content from assembly through final delivery. Day-to-day, that means managing your own post-production workflow, coordinating with story producers, researchers, and department directors, and hitting weekly deadlines across multiple platforms. This position carries fewer than 29 hours per week, so the expectation is that you come in ready to execute, not ramp up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and post-produce feature stories from initial cut through final delivery, including graphics, finishing, and platform-specific formatting.
  • Design motion graphics and visual elements for NFL digital platforms using Adobe After Effects and the broader Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • Develop and shape storylines during the edit in collaboration with producers, writers, and researchers to serve a digital audience.
  • Manage daily and weekly post-production deliverables for social and digital platforms, adhering to department schedules and established workflows.
  • Cut and deliver YouTube content and cross-platform short-form elements that meet the technical and editorial standards of each channel.
  • Communicate across departments throughout the post-production process to maintain quality and ensure timely delivery of all content.

What You Bring

  • 3 or more years of editing experience in a professional digital or social media production environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with working knowledge of the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • A track record cutting high-end short-form content for YouTube or comparable digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and post-production delivery pipelines for multi-platform distribution.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFL history, including teams, players, games, and current league storylines.
  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcast media, web production, or a related field is preferred.

Why This Role

NFL Media Group produces some of the most-watched sports content in the country, and this Part-Time Digital Video Editor role puts you inside that post-production operation, working on content that reaches a massive and engaged audience. The National Football League expects to hire near the middle of its posted pay range, and only in rare cases where a candidate’s credentials significantly exceed the role’s requirements would pay near the top of that range be considered. For an editor looking to build credits in sports media and digital post-production workflow, the access and volume of work here are hard to match.

Apply now for the Part-Time Digital Video Editor position with the National Football League and bring your editorial skills to one of the most recognized sports media operations in the country.
