Job Type
FOX Entertainment is hiring a Director, Media Workflows to be based in Los Angeles, California. This role sits at the center of FOX Sports’ content operations, overseeing the full post-production workflow and live studio playback pipeline from ingest to air across the FOX Network, FS1, FS2, and digital platforms including FOX One. It suits a senior operations leader who has run both craft edit environments and enterprise-level media supply chain systems, and who knows how to keep live production on-air while rebuilding the infrastructure underneath it.
About the Role
The Media Workflows department connects post production, live studio playback, and ingest-to-air operations for one of the highest-volume live sports broadcasters in the country. This Director, Media Workflows role covers capital projects, MAM/PAM orchestration, edit bay operations, and the introduction of automation and agent-assisted workflows into named, tracked production processes. On any given week, that means managing dependencies across NFL, studio programming, and original content while advancing a longer-term shift toward software-defined, cloud-enabled post-production workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee technical facility operations across hardware, software, and personnel to meet the production requirements of live sports events and studio programming.
- Architect and maintain content management systems at an enterprise level, covering MAM/PAM, ingest, playback, and administrative workflow across live and post production.
- Design agentic and human-in-the-loop workflows that define where automation acts without supervision and where editorial review is required, with speed-to-air as the measured outcome.
- Own capital planning and project delivery for all post-production and media workflow improvements, sequencing modernization work around live-event and craft edit obligations.
- Build a repeatable pipeline that moves proofs-of-concept in AI and orchestration into full production use, with tracked ROI and a metadata foundation that treats content as queryable data.
- Manage and reskill media teams to operate effectively in increasingly automated environments, maintaining reliability standards that live broadcast demands.
What You Bring
- Significant experience leading post-production workflow or media operations at a broadcast network, sports network, or large-scale content operation.
- Hands-on knowledge of MAM/PAM platforms, ingest systems, live studio playback, and edit bay infrastructure in an episodic or live production environment.
- Demonstrated experience introducing automation, orchestration, or AI-assisted tooling into production workflows, not as pilot projects but as shipped, operational systems.
- Ability to manage capital budgets and deliver infrastructure projects without disrupting live broadcast schedules.
- Fluency in cloud-enabled media workflows and software-defined production architecture at an enterprise scale.
Why This Role
FOX Sports produces the most watched program in American television, NFL’s America’s Game of the Week, and has held that position for fourteen consecutive years, which means the post-production workflow this Director oversees runs at a scale and visibility that few broadcast environments can match. The role carries a genuine transformation mandate, not just operational ownership, with direct reporting to the VP of Media Workflows and a clear 12 to 18 month framework for measurable outcomes. For a workflow leader who wants both operational authority and the scope to rebuild the pipeline, this is a substantive position.
Apply now for the Director, Media Workflows position at FOX Entertainment and bring your production operations experience to one of the largest live sports broadcasters in the country.
