This role sits within the social team and covers the full production workflow from filming original footage at events to editing platform-optimised short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and Threads. About the Role

OneFootball reaches more than 200 million football fans globally, and the social team is responsible for the video content that drives that audience daily. This editor will be central to capturing and cutting the moments that matter, from matchday reactions to interviews and behind-the-scenes access, including contributing to the relaunch of the OneFootball YouTube channel. A typical day moves between editing short-form social cuts in post and preparing camera and audio kit for upcoming shoots.

Key Responsibilities

• Film and edit short-form social video content across multiple platforms, applying strong hook structure, pacing, and sound design to maximise watch time and audience retention.
• Produce platform-specific cuts optimised for vertical and square formats, adapting each piece to the technical and creative requirements of each channel.
• Operate professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment across a range of production environments, including live football events, studio interviews, and location shoots across the UK and internationally.
• Apply OneFootball brand guidelines consistently across all video output, including captions, graphics, and motion elements integrated in post.
• Monitor social media formats and emerging editing techniques to keep content strategy current and audience engagement high.
• Handle content within copyright and licensing boundaries, following social media publishing best practices throughout the production and delivery process.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in social video production, with a portfolio demonstrating strong short-form editorial instincts across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on proficiency with professional video editing software and camera equipment used in social-first production workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and manage lighting and audio rigs independently in varied production environments.
• Solid understanding of content optimisation, including hook construction, retention strategy, and platform-specific audience behaviour.
• Working knowledge of copyright, content licensing, and publishing compliance for social media distribution.
• Strong command of English and a genuine understanding of football, its culture, and its global fanbase.
