Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is hiring a Creative Marketing Producer, VFX Editor/Compositor to join the on-air promotions team at NewsNation in Chicago, Illinois. This role sits inside the Creative Marketing department and is responsible for producing image promos and sizzle reels with a heavy emphasis on visual effects, compositing, and color work across broadcast and digital outputs. It suits a post-production professional who can move fluidly between writing a promo script and building a composite shot in the same week.

About the Role

The Creative Marketing team at NewsNation produces promotional content that drives ratings and network visibility, and this position is central to the VFX pipeline that makes that material competitive at a national broadcast level. Day to day, this person functions as both a producer and a finishing artist, handling everything from coordinating voiceover sessions to acting as colorist and compositor on other producers’ projects. The work spans on-air image campaigns, sales reels, and social promos, all within assigned budgets and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, produce, write, and edit on-air promotional campaigns in coordination with the Creative Director and fellow writer/producers.
• Build visual effects and composites for high-end image promos and sizzle reels that meet broadcast delivery standards.
• Step into the colorist chair on other producers’ projects, maintaining consistency across the department’s post-production workflow.
• Plan and coordinate production shoots, voiceover recording sessions, and music composition needs for assigned campaigns.
• Supervise and provide creative direction to graphic, print, and motion design artists working within a given campaign.
• Manage graphic output across assigned promotions, ensuring all design work aligns with network brand standards.

What You Bring

• At least five years of creative services experience in a cable, broadcast, on-air, boutique agency, or post-production environment.
• Proven credits in writing, producing, and directing commercials or on-air promotions for television.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve at a professional production level.
• Experience working in a collaborative post-production environment using industry standard equipment and practices.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Adobe Firefly and Higgsfield.ai is a plus.
