Videographer/Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit video content covering district programs, events, and educational initiatives for distribution across digital media and livestreaming platforms.
• Operate and troubleshoot audiovisual systems including sound reinforcement, lighting, and conferencing technologies at school and public events from setup through post-event breakdown.
• Manage the organization, preservation, and distribution of the district’s video, photo, and audio assets in line with records-management and digital media archiving standards.
• Evaluate and recommend video production equipment, AV hardware, and supporting software based on operational, accessibility, and long-term sustainability criteria.
• Deliver hands-on training to staff on video production, photography, livestreaming workflows, and AV equipment operation.
• Ensure all multimedia content meets compliance requirements related to copyright, student privacy, media releases, and accessibility standards.

What You Bring

• 2 to 3 years of experience producing professional video content, including shooting and post-production editing for broadcast or digital media.
• Demonstrated experience with livestreaming production and large-format AV system operation.
• Background in video production, digital media, communications, broadcasting, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with asset management practices for photo, video, and audio libraries in an institutional or production environment.
• Experience in a public sector or educational setting is considered an asset.
