Job Type
The Walt Disney Studios is hiring a Coordinator, Awards (Disney Entertainment) based in Burbank, California. This role sits within the studio’s awards marketing department, supporting campaign strategy and execution across multiple Disney labels during awards season, from guild screenings to nomination pushes. It’s a strong fit for someone with a year or more of entertainment marketing or publicity experience who wants to build a career in studio awards campaigning.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Awards (Disney Entertainment) works directly under the Director of Awards and operates across the full awards campaign lifecycle, covering feature film and television releases positioned for Emmy, Oscar, and guild recognition. Day-to-day work runs the range from maintaining screener platforms and tracking asset deliveries to coordinating events and keeping budgets current. During peak awards season, this person is the operational backbone that keeps campaigns on schedule across cross-functional studio partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the awards screener site with current content, screening information, creative assets, and guild group access codes throughout the awards campaign cycle.
- Track and distribute clips, crew sheets, photo assets, and credits packages to support submissions to awards organizations and entertainment press.
- Manage the department budget tracker and coordinate invoice processing and payments with the Finance team.
- Draft and distribute awards communications including nomination and win emails, weekly industry newsletters, e-blasts, and event invitations to guild and industry audiences.
- Provide on-site support at awards ceremonies, industry receptions, press appearances, and studio screening events, including travel and after-hours coverage as needed.
- Own the Director’s calendar and manage scheduling with internal studio departments and external vendors, including onboarding new service providers and handling their paperwork.
What You Bring
- At least one year of professional experience in publicity or marketing at a studio, network, agency, or entertainment brand.
- Working knowledge of the entertainment industry, including how awards campaigns operate across film and episodic television.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written communication skills suited to industry-facing materials and stakeholder correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously and stay organized under the compressed deadlines of awards season.
Why This Role
The Walt Disney Studios carries one of the broadest production slates in the industry, which means this role offers exposure to awards campaigns across theatrical releases, streaming originals, and animation, all within a single awards marketing team. For someone early in their awards career, the depth of project variety and the scale of the campaigns here are genuinely difficult to match at most other studios. Burbank is the center of the studio’s operations, and this position puts you inside that structure from day one.
Apply now for the Coordinator, Awards (Disney Entertainment) position at The Walt Disney Studios and bring your awards campaign experience to one of the industry’s most recognized studios.
