Job Date: Per Project

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office is crewing up for Song O’ Wild Woman, an independent 16mm short film shooting in Tulsa, Oklahoma this October. This crew call covers multiple departments across production, from AD support and grip to safety, props, and set management on a silent experimental short. If you work in independent film production and want to get on a format-specific, artistically driven project, this one is worth a look.

About the Role

Song O’ Wild Woman is a silent, experimental short film shooting on 16mm film stock, which shapes the pace and texture of the entire production workflow. The shoot runs October 16 through 18 in Tulsa, with roles spanning the AD department, electrical, props, set decoration, safety coordination, and PA support. Given the format and subject matter, this is a set that will move deliberately, with attention to visual and physical craft at every level.

Key Responsibilities

  • First and Second ADs will manage the shooting schedule, run the set, and coordinate talent and crew movement across a three-day short film production.
  • The Gaffer will work closely with the director and cinematographer to design and execute the lighting plan suited to 16mm film exposure requirements.
  • The Property Master will source, track, and manage all on-set props, with particular attention to continuity across a non-dialogue, image-driven narrative.
  • Set Decorators will establish and maintain the visual environment of each location, working within the aesthetic framework of an experimental short film production.
  • The Stunt Coordinator and Intimacy Coordinator will each oversee safety protocols specific to their discipline, working with the director to rehearse and execute any physical or sensitive sequences safely.
  • Production Assistants will support all departments across the shoot, handling logistics, set flow, and departmental needs throughout the production days.

What You Bring

  • Prior credits on short film, independent feature, or experimental film production in your respective department.
  • Availability for all three production dates, October 16 through 18, in Tulsa with no travel reimbursement provided.
  • Familiarity with the specific demands of non-sync, silent film production workflows is a plus for above-the-line crew.
  • Intimacy Coordinators and Stunt Coordinators should hold relevant professional certifications or demonstrated professional experience in their field.
  • A current resume, CV, or portfolio that reflects relevant production experience.

Why This Role
