Graphic Designer & Videographer

Global University Systems is hiring a Graphic Designer & Videographer to join their Y SCHOOLS communications team in Troyes, Grand Est, France. This role sits at the intersection of print production, digital content creation, and video production, covering branded materials and social media content across three institutions: SCBS, École Supérieure de Design, and École Supérieure de Tourisme. It suits a mid-career creative professional who is equally comfortable in a DTP workflow and behind a camera, and who can manage a production chain from brief to delivery without heavy supervision.

About the Role

The Graphic Designer & Videographer works within the communications department, producing web visuals, print collateral, and short-form video content across multiple brand guidelines simultaneously. A typical week moves between designing brochures and display ads, shooting and editing social media video, and coordinating with external agencies and institutional partners such as regional government bodies. The role requires genuine autonomy at the workstation alongside close collaboration with communications officers managing each school’s identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce print and digital visuals including brochures, annual reports, social media graphics, and display advertising in compliance with each school’s brand guidelines.
• Write scripts and storyboards, then shoot, edit, and color-grade video content produced specifically for social media distribution.
• Coordinate the internal and external graphic production chain, tracking each project from concept through to final delivery.
• Create illustrations and infographics that translate complex institutional information into clear visual communication.
• Manage the image library and photo archives, including image retouching and indexing to maintain a production-ready asset database.
• Provide technical support to internal departments on document design and conduct ongoing monitoring of design trends and emerging tools.

What You Bring

• A Bac+3 to Bac+5 degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline, with at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role.
• Full command of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom, plus working knowledge of video editing software.
• Solid understanding of print production workflows, manufacturing techniques, and colorimetry.
• Familiarity with web-specific formats and front-end languages including HTML, CSS, and PHP is a genuine advantage.
• Fluent written French with strong copywriting ability; intermediate English is required for working within a global university network.
