About the Role

The Multimedia Producer reports into ABC News Foreign Bureaus and functions as a one-person band capable of self-shooting, producing, and presenting live on-air segments without waiting on a full crew. Day-to-day work runs from pitching enterprise stories and coordinating logistics for reporting teams to going live from the field with self-produced live-shots. The role covers breaking news alongside ongoing regional affairs, feeding content to both broadcast network programming and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Pitch, research, and produce enterprise and day-of-air stories across linear broadcast, streaming, and digital news platforms.
• Self-shoot field segments with attention to lighting, audio, and framing, handling basic editing as required by the news cycle.
• Report live on-air from field locations and remote network setups, providing sourced, contextual coverage of regional developments.
• Coordinate logistics for visiting correspondents and production staff operating within Israel and the surrounding region.
• Maintain active editorial relationships with key contacts across Israel and the broader Middle East to support ongoing newsgathering.
• Work across multiple transmission formats and social media channels in line with ABC News journalist standards and practices.

What You Bring

• Significant experience in network television news production or a directly comparable newsgathering environment.
• Hands-on technical proficiency in field shooting, location audio, lighting setups, and non-linear editing workflows.
• A resume reel that includes three stories you personally tracked, produced, and presented or reported.
• Demonstrated contacts and editorial relationships within Israel and the Middle East region.
• English fluency is required, and Hebrew language proficiency is preferred.
• Willingness and demonstrated experience working in conflict zones, with the flexibility to travel on operational demand.
