Job Position(s): Video Editor (Contractor)
Project Type: Short Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Aimtal, a B2B digital marketing agency based in Boston, Massachusetts, is hiring a Video Editor on a contractor basis to join their remote-friendly creative network. This role sits squarely in post-production, where the editor takes raw footage through the full pipeline, from media ingest and assembly to color grading, sound mixing, and final platform-specific delivery. It suits a self-directed post-production professional with a background in branded content and the discipline to own a project from kickoff to final render without hand-holding.

About the Role

The Video Editor works within Aimtal’s contractor network, cutting branded video content for B2B and SaaS clients across multiple platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. A typical day in this post-production workflow involves organizing raw assets, integrating motion graphics prepared by the design team in Figma, and delivering exports optimized for each platform’s technical specs. Projects are independent and deadline-driven, requiring full ownership of the edit from first assembly through quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the complete post-production workflow, including media organization, assembly editing, color grading, and sound mixing for each project.
  • Cut raw footage from multiple sources into coherent, story-driven pieces that align with the client brief and brand strategy.
  • Integrate motion graphics, title cards, and transitions using assets supplied by graphic designers via Figma to lift overall production value.
  • Deliver platform-optimized renders across multiple aspect ratios, including 9:16 for short-form content and 16:9 for long-form video, along with GIFs and teasers.
  • Source and clear stock footage, licensed music, and SFX independently to match the creative direction of each project.
  • Perform thorough quality control on all deliverables before submission, catching technical errors and confirming alignment with brand guidelines.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong pacing and storytelling across multiple formats.
  • Expert-level command of Adobe Premiere Pro, with working proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics integration.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma for asset preparation and finishing work.
  • Your own active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, as software access is a baseline requirement for this contractor role.
  • Prior experience cutting content for SaaS or B2B clients is preferred, and demonstrates familiarity with the branded content pipeline.

Why This Role

Aimtal has been building its B2B marketing practice since 2018, and their contractor model gives experienced editors the flexibility to work on varied client projects without the overhead of a full-time position. The team’s structured creative process, with design assets delivered through Figma and clear project briefs, means editors spend time cutting rather than chasing approvals. For a post-production professional looking to build credits in the branded content space, this is a consistent source of project work with a well-organized agency.

Apply now for the Video Editor (Contractor) role at Aimtal and bring your post-production expertise to a team that values clear communication and clean deliverables.
