About the Role

The Disney Live Entertainment Music Production Intern reports to the Manager of Creative Development Resources and works directly alongside music producers across a range of live show formats produced for Walt Disney World, off-property events, and cruise line programming. Day-to-day work covers the full music production pipeline, from early-stage asset research and creative brainstorming through to recording sessions, file management, and venue mix support. This is production-floor experience, not administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and compile music assets used during the creative development phase of live entertainment productions.
• Prepare, duplicate, document, and archive music files within the production team’s asset management system.
• Assist music producers during voiceover and instrumental recording sessions in a studio environment.
• Support venue mix sessions for live show productions across Disney theme park and resort locations.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions contributing to the music direction of parades, stage shows, and special events.
• Provide general production support to the Music Production team across all stages of live show development.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in Music, Music Production, or Music Business at an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated experience in music production and recording processes, with proficiency in music production software.
• Ability to read music and an understanding of both the artistic and business sides of the music industry.
• Familiarity with current trends across the music and live entertainment industry.
• Experience as a performing musician and familiarity with Disney’s catalog and brand identity are preferred.
