About the Role

The Producer at CNN en Español works within the network’s Spanish-language broadcast operation, producing live daily programming for linear television, FAST Channel distribution, and CNN en Español affiliates. A typical day involves building and executing show rundowns, directing graphics creation in Viz Pilot, booking guests, and making real-time editorial calls in the control room. This is end-to-end broadcast production, not a development or support role.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full line production for live broadcasts, managing timing, editorial standards, and control room decisions from pre-show through air.
• Build and execute show rundowns that prioritize top news and shape the editorial pacing of each broadcast across linear and digital platforms.
• Lead breaking news coverage in real time, making accurate editorial calls under pressure while coordinating across newsgathering, planning, and digital teams.
• Create and produce on-air graphics using Viz Pilot, designing visual elements that support editorial content and maintain the show’s visual identity.
• Generate, pitch, and execute original story ideas with a focus on multi-platform storytelling across broadcast, digital, and social distribution.
• Collaborate with graphics, promotions, and programming teams to develop content for episodic television broadcasts and coordinated digital distribution workflows.

What You Bring

• Significant experience in live broadcast production, specifically in a line producer or show producer capacity at a news network.
• Fluency in Spanish at a professional broadcast level, with strong writing and scripting skills for on-air delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Viz Pilot for graphics creation and execution within a live production environment.
• Proven track record booking and managing high-caliber guests for live television formats.
• Demonstrated ability to lead rolling and breaking news coverage across broadcast and multi-platform distribution simultaneously.
