Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Production Assistant, Sports (Temporary) for their Creative Services Sports Unit in Atlanta, GA. This role sits inside the CSSU team at TNT Sports, where the output is promotional content across linear and digital platforms, including campaign spots, show opens, and features for properties like the NHL, NCAA, NASCAR, and MLB. It suits an early-career creative who wants a real entry point into broadcast sports production workflow, not just administrative support.

About the Role

The Creative Services Sports Unit is an Emmy Award-winning department responsible for end-to-end promotional production across the full TNT Sports media portfolio. Day-to-day work centers on footage management and creative support for producers cutting promos and features tied to live sports events. Because the work is event-driven, schedules shift around game nights, tournaments, and broadcast deadlines, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the footage library across all TNT Sports properties, including clipping, logging, and organizing video assets for broadcast and digital use.
  • Partner directly with CSSU producers to research and identify the most relevant footage to support specific promotional campaigns and features.
  • Track down and secure media assets in compliance with legal and rights clearance guidelines as they apply to sports broadcast production.
  • Pitch promotional campaign concepts and develop copy writing skills tailored to broadcast promos and on-air marketing.
  • Build hands-on experience across the post-production workflow, including scripting, editing, sound design, and visual effects fundamentals.
  • Support all phases of creative production from pre-production planning through final delivery across linear and digital platforms.

What You Bring

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere is required for this Production Assistant role.
  • A background in Communications, Journalism, or TV/Film at the BA level is recommended.
  • Genuine familiarity with sports, their formats, and their key moments is a meaningful advantage in this environment.
  • Ability to work deadline-driven hours tied to live sports events, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be based in Atlanta or prepared to relocate prior to starting.

Why This Role

Warner Bros. Discovery’s CSSU team works across one of the broadest sports rights portfolios in broadcast television, covering everything from the NHL to Roland Garros to boxing, which means the volume and variety of production experience here is genuinely unusual for an entry-level position. This Production Assistant role is structured as a direct launchpad toward producing, with exposure to the full episodic television and promotional production cycle from concept through post. For someone building toward a producing career in sports media, the access and the credit are both worth taking seriously.

Apply now for the Production Assistant, Sports position at Warner Bros. Discovery and take your first step into broadcast sports production.
