Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Company 3 is accepting general submissions for a VFX Production Coordinator based in Vancouver, BC, for anticipated future openings on their post-production team. This role sits at the center of the VFX pipeline, tracking shot progress, coordinating dailies, and managing the flow of work between artists, supervisors, and external vendors. It suits a coordinator who knows how post-production workflow operates and can keep multiple moving parts organized without needing to be managed closely.

About the Role

Company 3’s VFX department handles a full range of visual effects services across feature film production and episodic television, covering everything from compositing and 3D animation to color and finishing. The VFX Production Coordinator works directly alongside VFX Supervisors and Producers, keeping shot status current and ensuring review sessions run on schedule. A typical day involves logging dailies, capturing client feedback, managing outsourcing to external vendors, and liaising between the internal editorial team and the broader production management group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track shot progress across the VFX pipeline and update status changes in production tracking software throughout the duration of each project.
  • Coordinate and log dailies, ensuring review sessions are organized and client feedback is accurately captured and distributed.
  • Manage all outsourcing to external vendors, maintaining clear communication and delivery timelines on behalf of the production team.
  • Liaise between artists, VFX Producers, and Supervisors to efficiently allocate resources across concurrent projects.
  • Manage deliverables directly with the internal editorial team to meet post-production deadlines.
  • Support the production management team with ad hoc tasks as projects shift and priorities change.

What You Bring

  • Prior experience in a VFX or post-production coordination role, with a working understanding of compositing, 3D modeling, animation, and VFX software environments.
  • Hands-on experience with production tracking software, with ShotGrid strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for day-to-day project management tasks.
  • Strong written communication skills for managing external client relationships throughout a production cycle.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of confidentiality and initiative.
