About the Role

The Lead Video Editor works directly under the Senior Creative Media Director, functioning as the primary hands-on editor while also setting the standard for post-production quality across the team. Day-to-day work involves editing brand and product content for platforms including Amazon, paid social, and retail marketing, with projects moving from rough assembly through color, audio, and final delivery. This is a working lead position, meaning the person in this role is in the timeline as much as they are in conversation about workflow and creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the editing process from offline through final delivery on brand, eCommerce, and social video content, maintaining consistency across all output.
• Establish and refine post-production workflows in partnership with the Senior Creative Media Director to improve turnaround times and output quality.
• Apply advanced color grading techniques and handle audio production to ensure deliverables meet platform specifications across retail and paid social channels.
• Build and oversee motion graphics sequences using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro as core tools in the post pipeline.
• Mentor staff editors and manage freelance editors or agency creative partners on project-specific assignments.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging tools, including AI-assisted editing applications, to support evolving production demands.

What You Bring

• Minimum five years of professional video editing experience, including ownership of complex, multi-deliverable creative projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Demonstrated experience producing content for Amazon, eCommerce platforms, paid social advertising, and retail marketing environments.
• Background in CPG, health and wellness, or lifestyle brand production is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading or mentoring other editors, whether staff or freelance, within a structured post-production workflow.
• A bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Video Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
