Apple is hiring an Apple TV Series Publicity Manager based in Culver City, Los Angeles, to lead external communications for its original scripted and unscalar television slate. This role sits within Apple’s worldwide communications team and is responsible for building and executing publicity campaigns around Apple TV+ series from greenlight through premiere and beyond. It’s a strong fit for a seasoned TV publicist who has managed press strategy across episodic television and knows how to work at the intersection of talent, press, and a major streaming platform.
About the Role
The Apple TV Series Publicity Manager operates within Apple’s marketing and communications division, working directly on original programming for the Apple TV+ streaming service. Day-to-day work involves coordinating with showrunners, talent publicists, and press at every stage of a series lifecycle, from early announcement strategy through awards season. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week staff position managing the kind of high-profile episodic television campaigns that require both editorial instincts and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute series-level publicity campaigns for Apple TV+ original programming, from announcement through post-premiere press cycles.
- Pitch and place feature stories, set visits, and talent profiles with trade, consumer, and entertainment press covering the streaming television beat.
- Coordinate press junkets, panel appearances, and screening events tied to series launches and awards campaigns.
- Act as the primary communications liaison between Apple’s internal team and talent publicists, production companies, and studio partners on individual series.
- Manage reactive media inquiries and develop messaging for sensitive or breaking news situations involving Apple TV+ titles and talent.
- Track press coverage and analyze campaign performance to inform strategy across the broader Apple TV+ publicity slate.
What You Bring
- Proven experience running publicity campaigns for episodic television or streaming originals at a network, studio, or entertainment PR firm.
- Established relationships with entertainment journalists, editors, and producers covering the streaming television landscape.
- Experience managing awards campaign publicity, including Emmy strategy and trade outreach, is a strong advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple series simultaneously across different stages of their press cycles without dropping the ball on any of them.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to develop compelling story angles from complex, multi-talent productions.
