Mikros Animation is accepting expressions of interest for a Post-Production Producer to join their Advertising Department in Toronto, Canada. This role sits at the centre of the Toronto ADS team’s post-production workflow, overseeing VFX and advertising projects from bid through delivery. It suits a producer with hands-on experience managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships across commercial VFX production.

About the Role

The Post-Production Producer works directly under the Executive Producer in Toronto, taking ownership of advertising projects from quoting through final delivery. Day-to-day work spans bidding on VFX opportunities, crewing up projects, running client sessions in the studio, and keeping Shotgrid current across all active jobs. When capacity allows, this person also steps into film and episodic VFX production. This posting is an expression of interest only and is not an active role at this time. Mikros Animation is open to permanent, temporary, and freelance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the bidding process for advertising opportunities in collaboration with the global ADS team, preparing and adjusting VFX quotes based on scope and client revisions.
• Establish and manage post-production schedules for all Toronto advertising projects, tracking budget and timeline throughout the production lifecycle.
• Oversee crew planning tasks including sketching bookings for potential projects, confirming artist assignments, and attending the weekly ADS resource meeting.
• Set up grading and online session workflows in coordination with relevant departments, and ensure tasks, estimates, and timelogs are properly entered in Shotgrid.
• Serve as the primary client contact on active projects, maintaining regular communication on status and managing expectations when scope changes arise.
• Lead kick-off meetings with heads of department, contribute to post-mortem reviews, and support the Executive Producer on business development initiatives.

What You Bring

• Proven producing credits on commercial or advertising VFX projects, with direct experience managing budgets and post-production schedules end to end.
• Working knowledge of Shotgrid for project tracking, crew planning, and production reporting.
• Familiarity with VFX pipeline structures, including grading and online workflows in an advertising or episodic television context.
• Experience running client sessions in a studio environment and managing client relationships through the full production cycle.
• Ability to anticipate budget and schedule issues before they escalate and adjust quotes accordingly.
