About the Role

The Head VFX Supervisor at Shodhana Limited operates across a mixed production slate that includes commercial work and interactive experiences, meaning no two projects follow the same brief or technical spec. Day to day, you are reviewing shots, making pipeline decisions, feeding back to compositors and CG artists, and keeping creative intent locked while hitting delivery schedules. This is a hands-on leadership position, not a consultancy role.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end VFX pipeline, from on-set supervision and plate acquisition through to final composited deliverables.
• Direct a team of VFX artists across disciplines including compositing, 3D, and motion graphics, setting daily priorities and shot-level targets.
• Establish and maintain quality control checkpoints throughout the post-production workflow to ensure consistency across all project outputs.
• Collaborate with directors and producers during pre-production to scope effects work, budget shot counts, and flag technical risk early.
• Evaluate and implement tools, software, and techniques that improve throughput and output quality across the VFX department.
• Present work-in-progress VFX to clients and internal stakeholders, translating technical constraints into language that informs creative decisions.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of experience in a senior VFX supervisor or VFX lead role across commercial production or interactive content.
• Proficiency in industry-standard compositing software such as Nuke, with working knowledge of 3D packages including Houdini or Cinema 4D.
• A track record of credits across varied project types, demonstrating the ability to adapt pipeline and methodology to different formats and budgets.
• Strong on-set experience, including familiarity with tracking markers, HDRI capture, and green screen protocol.
• Demonstrable experience managing and mentoring a VFX artist team through full production cycles.
