This role sits at the operational center of HBO Max Germany’s local originals slate, managing commissioned productions from pre-production through final delivery across both scripted and unscripted high-end TV series. About the Role

The Jr Production Manager Local Original Production works directly under the Sr. Director Local Original Production and serves as the day-to-day operational link between Warner Bros. Discovery’s editorial team and the external production companies commissioned to produce local content. The role covers budget tracking, schedule monitoring, and cross-divisional coordination with Legal, Finance, Post Production, and the international HBO production team. On any given day that might mean reviewing cost reports from a Line Producer, preparing a project status overview for internal stakeholders, or briefing Legal ahead of a contract draft.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational point of contact for commissioned production companies, communicating directly with Line Producers and Producers across all phases of episodic television production.
• Track production schedules and budgets from pre-production through post-production workflow and final delivery, flagging risks to the Sr. Director in a timely way.
• Review and process budget proposals and cost reports submitted by production companies, maintaining accuracy across a slate of concurrent commissions.
• Brief Legal and Finance for contract drafting and budget approvals, following up on status to keep the production process on schedule.
• Monitor the German production market, including regional funding landscapes, subsidy guidelines, and relevant industry developments that affect commissioned productions.
• Maintain a central production database covering all active and upcoming commissions, including contracts, schedules, delivery documents, and correspondence.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of experience as a Line Producer, Production Manager, or Production Coordinator at a TV broadcaster, streaming platform, or production company.
• Solid working knowledge of budgeting and scheduling across all phases of high-end TV series, both scripted and unscripted.
• Familiarity with commissioning workflows and how broadcaster or platform requirements translate into production deliverables.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
• Experience working across internal departments such as Legal, Finance, and post-production management in a structured production environment.
