Executive Producer

FOX Entertainment is hiring an Executive Producer for FOX6 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a full-power broadcast station that produces roughly 1,200 hours of local news per week as part of one of the largest owned-and-operated television station groups in the country. This role leads the editorial execution of nightly newscasts and streaming coverage, sitting at the center of breaking news decisions, rundown management, and multi-platform content output across broadcast, streaming, web, and social. About the Role

This is a nightside position inside the FOX6 newsroom, overseeing nightly newscasts alongside a streaming-first coverage operation that runs continuously as news develops. Day to day, the Executive Producer is running editorial meetings, shaping rundowns, making fast calls on breaking news coverage, and giving real-time feedback to producers, reporters, anchors, photographers, and editors working across episodic television news cycles. Milwaukee is a competitive market with a dense story beat, and this role is expected to drive coverage strategy, not just manage it.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the editorial and production execution of nightly newscasts and live streaming coverage, continuously updating content as breaking news develops across all platforms.
• Direct daily editorial meetings, rundown reviews, and post-show debriefs with an emphasis on multi-platform storytelling and broadcast news workflow.
• Make confident, timely editorial calls during breaking news and severe weather coverage while keeping communication clear across the full production team.
• Review and approve all content elements including scripts, graphics, teases, push alerts, and digital presentation for accuracy, fairness, legal soundness, and visual clarity.
• Coach and develop producers and newsroom staff through regular performance conversations, direct feedback, and hands-on editorial guidance in real time.
• Work with newsroom leadership to execute editorial strategy and audience growth initiatives across broadcast, streaming, mobile, and social distribution.

What You Bring

• Prior experience as an Executive Producer in a television newsroom is required.
• Proven track record leading experienced teams through breaking news coverage in a live broadcast news environment.
• Strong working knowledge of digital audience strategy, streaming production, and social media as distribution platforms for local news content.
• Demonstrated ability to make editorial decisions quickly and accurately in high-pressure, real-time situations including severe weather coverage.
• Clear, direct communication skills and a record of holding both high standards and a respectful newsroom culture at the same time.
