Senior Manager, VOD & Streaming

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Producer, VOD & Streaming, this Senior Manager, VOD & Streaming role sits within CNN’s growing streaming portfolio at Warner Bros. Discovery, overseeing Producers, Associate Producers, and Senior Producers working across both active series and pilot development. Day-to-day work involves allocating production resources across multiple projects, providing editorial notes on scripts and story structure, and stepping directly into productions when launches or staffing gaps require it. The position functions as a connective layer between development teams, editorial stakeholders, and the producers executing the slate on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage resource allocation across the streaming production workflow, balancing team capacity against active series, franchise obligations, and development priorities simultaneously.
• Provide editorial guidance on script development, story structure, and visual execution across explainer formats and premium nonfiction video projects.
• Mentor Producers and Senior Producers through career development conversations and production-specific feedback tied to real project outcomes.
• Partner with Development and Editorial stakeholders to ensure all projects meet creative standards and deliver on schedule within the VOD pipeline.
• Act as a secondary lead on select franchise productions, providing oversight and editorial continuity across the broader streaming portfolio.
• Step into active productions as needed to cover high-priority launches, complex editorial workflows, or gaps in series staffing.

What You Bring

• 8 or more years of experience in video production, digital media, or streaming content, with a track record across recurring series or franchise-based programming.
• 3 or more years managing producers, editors, or cross-functional creative teams in a nonfiction or digital video environment.
• Strong editorial instincts specifically within news content, explainer video, or premium nonfiction production.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously while maintaining long-term operational planning across a streaming slate.
• Familiarity with production workflows common to episodic television or high-volume digital video, including development tracking and delivery pipelines.
