Analyst – Finance Production

AMC Networks is hiring an Analyst, Finance Production to join their production team in Santa Monica, CA. This role sits at the intersection of production accounting and studio operations, supporting the financial infrastructure behind scripted television and film across AMC Networks’ in-house studio and streaming portfolio. About the Role

You’ll be embedded in AMC Studios’ production finance operation, supporting the accounting teams behind originals that include The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, as well as content across AMC+, Shudder, and other network and streaming labels. Day to day, this means keeping production accounting systems running, managing banking administration across multiple institutions, and making sure weekly cash submissions and monthly reconciliations actually happen on schedule. It’s a coordination-heavy role that requires someone comfortable moving between systems, departments, and competing deadlines without losing track of the details.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer production accounting systems including the EP Smart Accounting suite, Scenechronize, and Cashet, managing access for onboarding and offboarding studio and production accounting staff.
• Set up and maintain Approval Matrices across all relevant systems to ensure proper authorization controls and segregation of duties across episodic television and film productions.
• Oversee banking administration across Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Coutts, and RBC, including account setup, closures, and user access controls.
• Consolidate production funding requests and coordinate weekly cash submissions to corporate finance, tracking monthly bank reconciliations across multiple productions simultaneously.
• Process accounts payable, P-Card transactions, journal entries, and intercompany chargebacks as part of the department’s core administrative workflow.
• Support tax incentive and insurance audits, and assist with production accounting documentation and process improvement projects as the slate evolves.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or production operations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Hands-on experience with production accounting software such as EP or Cashet is a plus.
• Familiarity with Oracle systems including Essbase, Planning, and EBS is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent productions while maintaining accuracy in financial data and reporting.
