Compensation: $146,058 - $150,000/year

A24 is hiring a Film Production Finance Executive based in New York to join their production team. This role sits at the intersection of production accounting and studio operations, covering the full lifecycle of feature film and television production from development through post. It suits a seasoned production finance professional who knows how to manage on-set accounting departments and navigate the reporting structures of a studio that operates both as producer and distributor.

About the Role

This position works across A24’s internal production, post, creative, corporate finance, accounting, and business affairs teams, which means the coordination demands are real and ongoing. On any given day, you might be onboarding accountants onto A24’s systems for an upcoming shoot, reviewing cash flow exposure on a project in prep, or overseeing the accounting wrap on a feature that just locked picture. The role covers multiple productions simultaneously, spanning scripted episodic television, documentary, and feature film production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary production finance point of contact for assigned projects, maintaining cross-departmental reporting throughout prep, production, and post.
  • Build and administer production finance infrastructure ahead of principal photography, including location-specific requirements, above-the-line payment schedules, and cash flow projections.
  • Liaise with co-producing partners on invoicing, cost reporting, cash flow schedules, and tax credit administration.
  • Manage accounting staff across all project phases, from early development and writers rooms through delivery, including hiring, onboarding, and introducing A24’s accounting processes and templates.
  • Oversee on-set accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll processing, and journal entries across the full production workflow.
  • Staff and manage audits including tax credit audits, insurance claims, union audits, and partner-specific financial reviews.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in production finance or as a production accountant on film or television projects.
  • Hands-on familiarity with production accounting systems and the financial reporting cadence of a working studio.
  • Experience managing tax credit processes and interfacing with co-production partners on shared financial deliverables.
  • Comfort operating across multiple productions at different stages of the production accounting lifecycle at the same time.

Why This Role

A24 has built one of the more consistent production slates in the industry, with over 150 films and 50 television series and credits including Moonlight, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Euphoria, and Beef. The Film Production Finance Executive role here carries real scope, touching both studio-side finance and on-the-ground production accounting across a range of project types.
