Photographer & Videographer

Introduction

Icebolethu Group is currently in search of a Permanent Photographer & Videographer within the Marketing & Communications Department, a Division of Icebolethu Group to be based at our Head Office / Field-based. The successful incumbent will be required to capture, edit, and produce high-quality visual content that aligns with the Icebolethu brand identity, acting as a visual storyteller who can handle both corporate events and the dignified, sensitive nature of the funeral services industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end production of photography and videography for marketing campaigns, social media, and internal communications.
• Document corporate events, gala dinners, community outreach programs, and specific client services with absolute professionalism and respect.
• Execute high-level post-production editing of photos, including detailed color grading and image retouching.
• Conduct professional video editing, including cutting, sound design, audio leveling, and the integration of motion graphics.
• Maintain, clean, and manage all in-house camera gear, lighting kits, and audio recording equipment.
• Work alongside the broader marketing team to brainstorm and conceptualize visual content for new product launches, burial schemes, and catering services.
• Maintain and curate an organized digital asset library/archive for the entire Group.
• Seamlessly pivot from high-energy corporate environments to the somber, respectful atmosphere of funeral services without compromising on quality or decorum

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• University Degree or Diploma in Film, Media Studies, Photography, or a related Creative Arts field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in a similar dual photography and videography role.
• Valid Driver’s License (essential for travel between branches and operational events).

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• A diverse and strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both high-end corporate video production and event photography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
• Advanced technical mastery of professional lighting, framing, and audio capture across varied indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to create basic 2D motion graphics, text animations, and lower-thirds for promotional videos.
• Up-to-date knowledge of social media video trends (Reels, TikTok styles) while maintaining overall brand prestige.
