Mikros Animation is collecting expressions of interest for a Senior VFX Production Coordinator based in Montreal. This role sits at the operational center of the VFX department, managing shot tracking, artist targets, and the flow of information across the production pipeline from pre-production through final delivery. About the Role

This position supports the full VFX production workflow, working directly alongside the VFX Supervisor and VFX Producer to keep shots moving, deadlines honest, and artists unblocked. On any given day, that means running dailies, disseminating client notes, tracking targets per artist, and making sure the shot list reflects reality. Mikros Animation is an established animation and VFX studio with a substantial feature film production slate, and this role is built for someone who can operate at that scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the master shot list and all production tracking documents, keeping show status accurate and accessible at all times.
• Set and track weekly artist targets in coordination with the VFX Supervisor and Producer, meeting with each artist daily to check progress and clear blockers.
• Receive, interpret, and distribute client shot notes and internal review feedback to the appropriate artists and supervisors promptly.
• Manage file transfer and receipt workflows in partnership with the Production Assistant, ensuring elements arrive and are sent correctly across departments and to clients.
• Organize the dailies playlist, take detailed session notes, and confirm that all notes reach the relevant crew before the next session.
• Evaluate shot progress against approved milestones, flag schedule risks early, and relay any anticipated delivery impacts to the Producer before they become problems.

What You Bring

• Prior experience as a VFX coordinator or production coordinator on a feature film or high-volume post-production workflow.
• Working knowledge of shot tracking systems and production management tools used in VFX pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to read and maintain a VFX shot list, schedule, and status report under active production pressure.
• Strong note-taking practice during reviews and the organizational discipline to get those notes to artists the same day.
• Fluency in both English and French is an asset given the Montreal studio environment.
