About the Role

The Director, Licensing, Game Shows works within the broader game shows business unit, reporting closely to the Senior Vice President overseeing that portfolio. Day to day, this person manages existing licensee relationships, develops category strategies across home, seasonal, apparel, games, and gambling products, and leads the full product lifecycle from concept through production. The role also owns financial forecasting and revenue tracking across the licensing program, with a direct management responsibility over a Senior Licensing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! consumer products licensing programs, including home and seasonal, apparel, games, and gambling products.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Sony Pictures Entertainment and its licensee partners, guiding product development, planning, and forecasting from pitch through retail.
• Oversee creation of style guides across the full game shows IP portfolio to ensure brand consistency and quality control across all licensed executions.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new licensing partnerships that expand the franchise’s reach into new categories and audience segments.
• Drive revenue performance across the licensing portfolio through deal structuring, partner management, and accurate financial reporting.
• Lead and mentor a Senior Licensing Manager, setting clear objectives and supporting their professional development within the entertainment licensing industry.

What You Bring

• Eight to ten or more years of experience in licensing or consumer products, with a focus on entertainment IP and adult consumer categories.
• Proven track record managing high-profile IP through the full product development cycle, from concept to consumer.
• Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen applied to licensing deal structures and royalty forecasting.
• Experience working with gambling or gaming products such as slot machines or lottery is a meaningful asset in this role.
• Background managing teams within a studio or entertainment brand licensing environment.
