Key Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining pipeline tools that support feature animation production across multiple departments and show configurations.
• Developing rigging systems, simulation frameworks, or rendering solutions that meet the technical and creative requirements of a given production.
• Researching and prototyping new approaches to animation technology, including procedural systems, character FX, or rendering algorithms.
• Collaborating with department leads to identify technical bottlenecks and engineer solutions that hold up at production scale.
• Writing clean, documented code and contributing to shared technical infrastructure used across the animation studio.
• Testing, profiling, and optimizing existing pipeline components as show requirements evolve through production stages.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable credits on feature animation or high-end episodic animation productions in a TD or R&D engineering capacity.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or both, with hands-on experience in production pipeline environments.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard animation software such as Maya, Houdini, or Katana, depending on your discipline.
• Experience with rendering pipelines, USD workflows, or real-time systems relevant to feature animation production.
• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates technical problem-solving alongside production results.
